OMG

I'm aware that noone here loves Nine Inch Nails like I do, but I still need to share that I'm about to die of excitement because boy can Trent keep a secret. How can you just suddenly have an album out without doing anything more than say 'two weeks' two weeks ago to announce it?

Sorry. Will calm down now. I'm far too excited for a Monday morning now.

You'll have to tell me how it is when you get it. I loved his first (I still listen to it regularly). I dutifully bought most of the subsequent albums, but none of them were as complex or multi-layered.

Then he and his little pup Marilyn Manson started acting like middle school girls, being nasty to other performers (was it Courtney Love?), and I lost interest in their stupid antics.

Hmmm, are they a popular beat combo then? I think I heard them on the wireless once many years ago, quite catchy as I recall...

hi imperatrix! trent did grow up and go completely sober at which point i think he got a lot better - i was completely bemused by Year Zero when it first came out but loveitloveit now. i have the link to download this now - I'll let you know what I think. Have ordered the CD but that doesn't turn up til April - just in time for my birthday! Yay!

jon m, that cracked me up :) popular beat combo indeed. They sold 2500 copies of a $300 version of this album in 24 hours - that's pretty impressive!!!

I like when that happens. Shortly before Christmas I was in a record shop and absent-mindedly decided to look in the section for one of my favourite bands (Wire), not expecting anything new since I hadn't been aware that they were anything other than in stasis. Lo and behold, there was a just-released new ep, which turned out to be an absolute cracker!

NIN aren't really my cuppa, but I hope the album doesn't disappoint :)

Oh yes - glad to be of service, albeit inadvertently :)

Your hubby should (if he so wishes) check out the "Read and Burn" eps (1 and 3 should still be available) and the album "Send." They're apparently in the process of finishing a new album too.

Yes it's good sometimes, the internet, innit :)

I am so uncultured having heard none of their material, but I hope the album is good :)
