I am on the verge of deleting almost all of my blogs. (I'll keep the photo blog, if I can sort out the domain name hosting.( Nothing has happened... I just want to wipe the slate clean. I am not good at decluttering. But I hardly blog any more. I don't feel the urge. There are so many other pressures on my time, and yet because the blogs are still here, I feel guilty about not updating.

If they aren't there, maybe I'll feel better?

Anyway, I just wanted to give you all fair warning.

If you want to keep in touch.... email me at burningthepast - at - gmail - dot - com - if you're on facebook give me a linky and I'll friend you if we've had contact in the past.

Progress. Honest.

I've downloaded the blogger app to my ipod. You never know, maybe it'll increase my blogging frequency. Maybe...

The photo site is sadly neglected atm. I have had a very nice person rescue me from having to sort the hosting out myself. I don't know if he wants to be outed as my rescuer or what his own website even is. But i'm really quite excited about what's going on over there. Just scared to update while things are moving.

The baby's been sick. Seems to be on the mend now though.

How's things?

One of the reasons I love living here....

The other day, my total expenditure for the day was £6.20.

This paid for:
  • one exercise class
  • one baked potato with egg mayo and salad
  • and one can of pop.

I'm guessing that in many places daaahn South you'd pay at least twice that for all that, no?

(Of course there are a fair few places in and around Newcastle where you'd also pay at least £20 for those three things. It's just nice to have the option, eh?)

"here's your coffee, Beth!"

I got an email from Starbucks today. (It's still Monday in my mind.)

"That’s why, from tomorrow we’d love to call you by your name when you order your coffee. We’ll be sharing our names too, with our new name badges.

It’s part of our promise to make your coffee experience as perfect as it can be. From greeting you by name each visit, to making your coffee just the way you like it. You can find out more about our promise to you in store."

I happened to be in Starbucks today and the lady who was serving did ask my name. I hadn't read the email yet so I was rather nonplussed.

I'm not entirely sure what I think about that. If she really does remember next time I go in, I think I'll be a lil bit freaked out.

... having said that, there's a guy who used to work at that Starbucks who made me smile every time I went in. He used to work in Northumberland Street but last time I saw him he was in the Grainger Street shop. I kind of thought I should've known his name, because he always brightened up my day. Ah well.....
